We do offer free evaluations. Once a recovery is setup, you can send a drive to us and we call you back in 2-3 business days with a final quote. At that time we will have evaluated the drive and determined recoverability and the cost to recover. Your customer then has the option to proceed or not. We return ship for free if your client declines service. If the customer gives the ‘go ahead’ we complete the recovery in 3-4 Business days.

Insurance Coverage for Data Loss:

At times, home-owners, renters and business insurance may cover the cost of our data recovery service.

For homeowners and renters insurance it may be covered under  ”loss of intellectual property” or “loss of valuable records and documents”.  We recently did a recovery from a student from UCLA who had lost his thesis. His renters insurance covered the cost to recover his files.  For businesses, coverage may be offered under the “business continuity” or business interruption” clauses.
